One thing you can be sure of in Lynn’s workshop — you will laugh! She loves to weave stories and humorous moments into her presentations. Here’s what she says about her pattern line Bloomin’ Minds — “I like to design patterns that are quick and easy to do and that amuse me. If others are amused as well, that’s a plus! The biggest reward is to see people smile and laugh at my designs.”
You can see all of Lynn’s patterns on her website, www.bloominminds.com.
In the Bloomin’ Minds Afternoon workshop, Lynn will provide you with a new design for KCRQF — using machine and/or hand techniques:
Lynn also loves to put fabrics together, and you will have a chance to shop her kitted patterns in the Bloomin’ Minds vendor booth at Festival.
Sign up for “Bloomin’ Minds Afternoon” workshop on Friday, June 14 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm here: http://kcrqf.com/festival-info/festival-passes-events-classes/

Two of our KCRQF 2019 Participating Guilds are working hard to bring hand crafted items to Festival for your shopping pleasure!
The Miami County Quilters’ Guild, Paola, Kansas, www.miamicountyquiltguild.com, describes what they will be offering in their boutique:
“Handmade gifts — for quilters, by quilters — project bags, show and share bags, puncushions — both practical and collectible, clocks, notion bags, organizers, journals, t-shirts and more!”
Kaw Valley Quilters Guild, Lawrence, Kansas, www.kawvalleyquiltersguild.org, is “excited to be a vendor at KCRQF 2019. Our members have been working like crazy to fill the tables with creative, useful and one-of-a-kind items. We have such a diverse group of artist members, and you should expect the unexpected!”
We appreciate having these two guilds participate as vendors, and hope you find shopping and visiting with them a pleasure!
Check it out — Trisch Price is offering two great workshops for Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival!
Recently, Trish donated a small quilt featuring a Kansas City landmark to the silent auction/sale being held during the Festival.
Her interpretation of the “Western Auto” sign was so popular, Trisch agreed to add it to the Festival class schedule. It is newly listed Here on the website — Friday, June 14 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and can be made either a 24″ or 36″ square.
Visit Trisch’s blog, www.hadleystreetquilts.com to see her piecing method of the “Western Auto” quilt in progress!
Trisch’s other class during Festival is “Fruit Stand” — featuring a variety of techniques — curved pieced clamshells, a little foundation piecing, a touch of applique.
“Fruit Stand” is offered on Thursday, June 13, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. You can see more about the construction of this quilt and some up close pictures on Trischs blog, www.hadleystreetquilts.com.
