Meet the guild

The Eudora Quilting Bees was established in 1998 and currently has approximately 40 members. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Quilting Bits & Pieces located at 736 Main Street (8th and Main St.) in Eudora, Kansas.

Charity efforts of the guild include Quilt Show Silent Auction proceeds to Lawrence Women’s Shelter, Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry in Eudora and Douglas County Family Promise. We also make little flannel dolls for newborns with complications who have to be transported without their Moms from Lawrence Memorial Hospital to KU Med. The dolls are kept with the mom prior to the baby leaving and then kept with the baby when they leave to carry the scent of their moms.

We are a diverse group of ladies with a great range of ages, styles and expertise. We operate under a simple set of By-laws where all participate to bless, share techniques and make our guild and quilt show a wonderful success. In addition to speakers at our monthly meetings, we have an annual three day Retreat and two or more Sew Day gatherings.
