Doris Deutmeyer

Doris is a lifelong artist, teacher, and designer loving all things art, fabric and landscape. She has a B A in Art Education and is a former Elementary Art teacher having taught all age levels. In 1997 Doris began creating original fused fabric landscapes and mini quilts, which she matted and framed; selling hundreds of these originals at fine art and craft shows in the Midwest. After catching the attention of quilters she was encouraged to share her expertise by giving workshops and lectures. Her home based business, Fabrications by Doris, has evolved into a line of self published fused raw edge landscapes and mini quilt patterns. Her newest addition to her online store and booths at sewing/quilt expos is landscape quilting fabric offering hard to find landscape elements. Always wanting to share her love of quilting and landscape Doris offers a variety of demos, workshops and lectures to quilters at quilt expos and to quilt guilds. Her busy life includes sharing a farming business with her husband, Don, 4 grown sons, 8 grandchildren.
