Meet the guild
The Raymore Quilt Guild was established in 2000 with 10 charter members. Current membership is approximately 70 members.
The Guild meets at 9am, the third Monday of each month at the 1st Baptist Church of Raymore, located at Missouri Highway 58 and Washington Street in Raymore, Missouri. Entry to the meeting area is on the south side of the church, at the doors located under the covered portico. Parking is across the street, east of the church. If the schools are closed due to bad weather, the meetings are canceled. A small group also meets on the first Monday of each month, also at 9 am, to work on Block of the Month, charity sewing, and individual projects.
Members enjoy sharing time with each other. Our Show and Tell is a lively time when member projects and creative talents are enthusiastically received.
Guild members support various charities: Hope Haven which is a battered women’s shelter serving Cass County, Project Linus, St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, Quilts of Valor, Shriners Children Hospitals, Children’s Mercy Hospital, a variety of churches needs for quilts, and various food pantries.
Raymore Quilt Guild is a founding guild of the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival. The inaugural show in 2015 was a great success. The 2017 show is currently being planned by all the participating guilds.
