Blue Valley Quilters Guild

Meet the guild
BVQG was established in 1981 and has approximately 150 members.

The BVQG meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park. Please enter on the northwest side. Social time begins at 9:00 a.m. with our meeting at 9:30

The BVQG is known for hosting outstanding speakers, both local and national. We hold Sit & Stitch days at Rose Estates and are very active in Quilts of Valor. We have donated 100s of quilts to charities through out the area. Among these are SafeHome, Kansas City Missions, Rose Estates and the Kansas Foster system. Our February meeting each year is called our Charity Sew Day. We all bring our machines, set up and sew for hours for charity. It is followed by a pot luck, and is always one of our most popular meetings.

Even though we are in southern Johnson county, we have members that come from Leavenworth, Lees Summit, Desoto and Paola. We are a group with various skill levels, from those brand new to quilting, to published award winners. All are welcome.
