Kate Quinn

Kate’s fascination with quilting began in 1991 when she received a hand-quilted Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt as a wedding present. The gift of a second scrappy quilt further solidified her love of fabrics and colors. She made her first quilt in 1993 to celebrate the birth of her first child. Through many years and hundreds of quilts and classes, her passion has evolved into sharing the craft with other through teaching quilting and designing quilts. She became a professional longarmer in 2016, opening FabriKated Quilts in Rio Rancho, NM. She is proud to be a Westalee Accredited Teacher and a Sew Steady Education Ambassador. As a quilting educator, she has traveled across the country and internationally to teach template quilting for both longarm and domestic machine users. Template quilting or “Guided-motion” quilting has helped her to move her skills to the next level. Now she wants to share those skills with you so you can create the beautiful quilts you desire. Let’s get quilting!
