Jane Bromberg is a quilt designer, teacher and lecturer in Kansas City, MO. Jane loves to teach and inspire other quilt enthusiasts to develop their own creativity. Besides designing pieced quilt tops, Jane creates original designs using photos that she takes of whatever catches her eye. Jane has had quilts in national AQS shows and in Quiltcon 2013. Workshop Cost: $35

Domestic Sewing Machine Class —
If you are confident making and applying traditional bindings, then this class will teach you to make several different styles of facings and edge finishes. Students will learn how to make a facing for a quilt, prairie points, scallops, flanges, accent pieces, and a pieced binding. Students will go home with samples of each technique to use for reference.
Kit Fee $5.00 (paid to the instructor)

One strip of fabric 1-7/8″ x 20″
One strip of fabric 1-1/4″ x 20″

Technique 2
Two strips of fabric 1-1/2″ x 18″
Leftover binding strip from your stash that is at least 20″ long

Technique 3
One 10″ square of fabric

Techniques 4 and 5
Six 3-1/2″ squares of fabric
Two 4-1/2″ by 15″ strips of fabric

Technique 6
Six 3-1/2″ circles
Six 3-1/2″ circles of contrasting fabric
Two 4-1/2″ by 15″ strips of fabric

Other Supplies:  Pen or pencil, pins, thread, scissors, rotary cutter and small mat

I will provide 3 practice quilts for a supply fee of $5 that is payable at the beginning of class.  I will also supply written instructions for each technique.
