Two more outstanding examples of quilts shown at Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019 —

“Be The Light” is an original design created by James R. Brown of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  James says of his wall quilt: “The challenge theme:  In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must first be present .  (Francis Bacon)  The rising of the sun from the darkness on a regular basis, my inspiration for this quilt and the quilt name.”

“Flakes and Flurries” was created by Kathryn Fischer of Blue Springs, Missouri.  Quilted by Stover Quality Quilting it is 53″ x 59″.  Kathryn says:  “The quilt is inspired by several patterns.  I also added elements of my own.  The embroidery is all done by hand.”
