It’s Wednesday again! Two more quilts from Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019 for you to admire.
This beauty! “Ode to Telene” created by Kelly Cline of Lawrence, Kansas, is 42″ x 44″. The pattern is by Telene Jeffrey, Lady Jan Quilting. Kelly says: “The original comes from Telene Jeffrey, a friend in South Africa. I purchased her design, then free motion quilted on a vintage cutwork tablecloth. A collaboration of two continents!”
“Where’s Tula?” was created by Joyce Colton of Lecompton, Kansas. This original applique design with Tula Pink’s blocks is 77″ x 77″. Joyce says: “I always wanted to do an applique quilt using a pieced background. I chose designs from Tula Pink’s ‘100 Modern Quilt Blocks’ in sets of 3 to use for the background. Some are mirror imaged. The applique designs are my own.”
