Finishing a Quilt with Facing (Instead of Binding)

If you’ve made even one quilt, you are likely familiar with a binding technique. However, another option for finishing the edge of a quilt is applying a facing. Facings offer a smoother finish around the perimeter of your project that works very well in certain circumstances.
