Scrappy Quilt As You Go On a Domestic Machine

Tia Curtis has used the QAYG technique for years to test out ideas and then make bags, gifts and quilts with the results. Let Tia show you some of her favorite techniques to make really useful QAYG pieces. You will feel comfortable creating in a judgment free zone and leave inspired to dump all your scraps out on the floor and make wonderful things when you get home. Tia will also show you how to join quilted pieces together so you can easily create large studies from multiple quilted pieces.

Additional Information:
At the end of class we will make our little piece into a little quilted bucket bag. If you would like to participate, please bring a fat quarter for the lining and a 2.5 inch x 20 inch strip of fabric for the binding. If you like the color of the lining you can use the same fabric for the binding.

• A quilting ruler that you like (3" x 24" or 6" x 24")
• Small Cutting Mat
• Gallon Bag Filled with ScrapsThat You Like
• Fat Quarter (18" x 22") for the Back of Your Piece
• Fat Quarter (18" x 22") of Batting - I recommend blend, cotton or wool.
