We just added two additional longarm quilting classes to the workshop schedule for Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019.
Doris Hruska is offering “Finding Your Path” on Friday, June 14 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Cost of the workshop is $75, plus $20 kit fee, which includes a practice top, to be paid to Dorie at the time of class.
Do you struggle with how to quilt a top with the least amount of starts and stops? In this class, you will learn the strategies Dorie uses to find the continuous path around pieced blocks. Then take it to the next level by connecting these free motion designs across the width of the quilt top with one start and one stop. Based on Dorie’s book, Making Connections. Students are encouraged to bring tops for design discussion.

Julia Quiltoff will be showing “How To: Quilting Applique Quilts” on Friday, June 14 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Cost of the workshop is $85, plus $25 kit fee, which includes an applique top for practice.
Learn to emphasize the beauty of applique, outline, add creative textures, break the space around it, and make your applique shine! Skill levels: beginning, intermediate or advanced.
