KCRQF 2019 – Meet The Accidental Quilter, Marti Michell!

Marti Michell is a true living legend in the quilting world.  Since starting Yours Truly in 1972 with her husband, Richard, Marti has been involved in educating and inspiring quilters the world over.  We are proud to be offer opportunities at Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival to enable quilters — new and experienced — to get to know her!

Marti Michell — KCRQF 2019 Instructor!

A living legend in the quilt world — Marti Michell — will join the faculty for Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019.

Marti Michell is a popular patchwork teacher having taught in 49 states and 26
countries. Since 1995, Marti is best known for the From Marti Michell acrylic tools for rotary cutting and her passion for teaching easy, accurate patchwork. Marti is also a prolific author (close to 2 million books sold), fabric designer (currently Maywood Studio), quilt collector and quilt maker. Marti and her husband Richard started their first patchwork kit company (Yours Truly, Inc.) in 1972. Since 1995 the Michells have manufactured the From Marti Michell line of acrylic templates and specialty rulers for rotary cutting. When you take a class with Marti you will share quilting knowledge gained in her 40+ year quilting career.

Marti will be presenting a trunk show and leading several workshops during Festival next June.  Her enthusiasm and knowledge will inspire and encourage anyone lucky enough to be in her classes!
