KCRQF 2019 — Workshops with Tia Curtis!

Her smile is contagious, and her creative spirit is evident in everything she does. Classes with Tia Curtis are uplifting and inspiring — you can see her work on her website, www.Tiacurtisquilts.com. She also has a Youtube channel where she shares fun sewing projects and improv techniques for creating quilt blocks and demonstrates her beautiful quilting style with her Gammill Long Arm.

Tia Curtis is teaching several classes for Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival — there is only one opening (as of this date) in one of her longarm quilting classes, but you can still sign up for her other two classes.

Announcing KCRQF 2019 Longarm Quilting Teachers!

So far, we’ve introduced a few of the teachers and speakers that will be with us at KCRQF in June.  In the next few days, we’ll introduce you to the rest of them.

We’re excited to share with you the names of our longarm quilting  teachers for June!  This group of young and enthusiastic women is excited to share their talent and knowledge with others.  Two of them have taught at previous Festivals; the other two are looking forward to the Festival experience!

Angela Walters — Besides being well-known for her quilting ability and teaching, Angela is a shop owner, fabric designer, author and the host of The Midnight Quilt Show.

She thinks everyone should love quilting as much as she does!  Find out more about her on her website and follow her on social media, including Facebook.

Tia Curtis is also returning for KCRQF 2019!  Her fabulous custom quilting is appreciated by many, especially fellow members of Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild.

If you’re not a machine quilter, you can have fun with Tia in a machine piecing class.  Visit her website, be sure and watch her videos posted there — you’ll learn a lot — and follow her on Facebook.

Julia Quiltoff keeps busy with her custom longarm quilting service, making quilts and teaching.

Recently moving from the Kansas City area to Colorado, she is looking forward to seeing her many friends and fellow quilters while here in June. You can see some of her amazing work and videos on her website — as well as follow her on Facebook.

Doria Hruska is an award-winning longarm quilter, author and teacher from Highland, Missouri.

Dorie created her own line of grid stencils and has authored several books.  You can find information about all her specialized products on her website – and you can follow her on Facebook.

Keep watching as we introduce you to more of the KCRQF 2019 instructional faculty!
