Shooting Star is a project that is quick and easy to sew while adding, perhaps, a new piecing technique to your quilty toolbox. Kelly will quide you through using partial-seam technique (NOT the same as “Y-seams”!!!) to construct the single, hexagonal-shaped Offset Star block (from her book Spinners, Spirals, & Stars: Hexagons WITH Movement and WITHOUT “Y-Seams”!). You’ll also learn how easy it is to transform a hexagon into a rectangle. Then,
there is a lot of chain-piecing fun as the tail units for the Shooting Star are constructed. Wouldn’t you love to adorn your table with this interesting runner or to decorate the wall of your favorite little stargazer?
