Square Dancing With the Stars

Kelly loves working with 60-degree patchwork and teaching others about the joys of less- usual construction techniques. The Square Dancing With the Stars workshop gives the participant a variety of learning opportunities while constructing this interesting – and fast – project: partial-seam technique (NOT the same as “Y-seams”!), working with 60-degree shapes, cutting and constructing quarter-square triangle squares, and more! The supply list gives fabric requirements for a small quilt (shown above), a large quilt, OR – if you do not wish to make an entire project – the opportunity to construct one Echo Star block to learn about 60-degree shapes and partial-seam block construction. The Echo Star block is one of Kelly’s newly-designed blocks using the same technique found in her book, Spinners, Spirals, & Stars: Hexagons WITH Movement and WITHOUT “Y-Seams”! Making these blocks is SEW much fun!
