Class Details
The Starry Irish Chain quilt is a contemporary version of a traditional favorite. Kelly has
combined a variable-sized Irish Chain block with her original-design Echo Star block, a block
quickly and easily constructed without “y-seams”. Partial-seam technique (not set-in seams) is used in the construction of the Echo Star – the technique Kelly highlights in her book, Spinners, Spirals, & Stars: Hexagons WITH Movement and . You’ll be amazed at how quickly the block comes together!
The class supply list provides fabric requirements for two quilt sizes: a small verson (pictured above) and a larger version. Or, if you simply wish to learn the block construction technique, fabric requirements are included for a single-block option to make the Echo Star. Additionally, there is an option for a pieced outer border for the small and large quilts. No matter which version you choose, you’re in for an enjoyable and informative class!
