KCRQF – Virtual Quilt Show

Two more quilts from participating guild members shown at the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019.  More coming each week!

“Carolina Lily At Last” by Karen Thompson of Smithville, Missouri is 72″ x 92″, and the quilting is all free motion and ruler work.  Karen says:  “I found this top and fell in love, it screamed of unfulfilled dreams.  As near as I can tell, the top dates from the mid 1800’s.  While quilting, I imagined the original piecer’s life.  I hope she would be happy with the result.”

“Counting Sheep” is a wool applique quilt created by Prissy Yarnell of Smithville, Missouri.  It is 59″ x 59″ and was quilted by Doris Kirtley.  Pattern is by The Woolen Needle.  Prissy says:  “I found this darling quilt kit, but didn’t love all the fabric that came with it, so I changed it to suit my taste.  I love working with wool as it’s so forgiving.”

See you next Wednesday!
