Two more beautiful quilts displayed at Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019, created by mother and daughter master quilters.
“Hazel’s Diary” by Sandy Meyers of Peculiar, Missouri, is a design by Shelly Pagliai for Kansas City Star, and is 93″ x 93″. Sandy says: “Hazel’s Diary was the last quilt pattern published in the KC Star. The applique is needle turn. Hand quilting was done in a hoop quilting frame.”
“Hearts & Flowers” by Miriam Reed of Grandview, Missouri, was designed by Kathy Delaney. This hand quilted treasure is 74″ x 88″. Miriam says: “Enjoying applique – it was fun to learn some new techniques I had never done before”.
