Highlighting two more award-winning guild quilts from Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival 2019 —
“Love From Above” was created by Joan Nicholson of Lenexa, Kansas. A Keri Duke pattern, this 44″ x 84″ whimsical design was quilted by Ida Houston. Joan says: “This is a quilt based on Charley Harper’s poster that was made for a zoo. I liked this pattern for over a year before I made it.”
Quilter Lois Bozarth of Overland Park, Kansas, says: “This was a BOM on Facebook by several designers who each posted a free pattern each month. I used wool and cotton from my stash to construct the blocks – hand appliqued each block and some included embroidery embellishments. I enjoyed making this quilt – one of my favorites.” “Life Began in a Garden” is 49″ x 49″ and is published as a pattern by Farmhouse Threads and Friends.
