These exhibits may feature the work of a distinguished quilt artist, themed challenge quilts, or commemorative pieces that honor special moments and makers.

Honoring our Women Veterans

At the 2027 Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival, we are honored to recognize and celebrate the service of 100 women veterans through a special tribute held June 16–19 at the Overland Park Convention Center.

Throughout the festival, a dedicated quilt exhibit will honor the service, sacrifice, and strength, expressed through the artistry of stitching. On Saturday, June 19th, we will host a heartfelt presentation in which each honored woman veteran will receive a handcrafted quilt—created with care, gratitude, and deep respect.

This moment reflects the spirit of our quilting community: coming together to offer comfort, recognition, and appreciation through the timeless gift of a quilt.

Angela's Anthology

This exhibit is a collection of quilts that reflects my love of machine quilting and the many ways it can bring a quilt to life. I enjoy exploring how different quilting designs, textures, and thread choices can add movement, depth, and personality to each quilt.

I’m excited to share a variety of quilts from my creative journey as the featured quilter. While each quilt is unique, they all represent the joy I find in combining fabric, color, and machine quilting...and in seeing where the process takes me."
